In April 2012 I was diagnosed with breast cancer.  I underwent a mastectomy with immediate reconstruction which solved the problem.  However in October 2014 I discovered a new lump and am currently undergoing chemotherapy at Velindre which will be followed by radiotherapy.  Since my first diagnosis I have been hoping to raise funds for the Breast Care Centre at Llandough to say thank you for the truly amazing care they provide, however I have been waiting for the right challenge.  Inspiration came this Christmas when a friend donated a bag of scarves she had used during her chemotherapy.  She taught my nephew how to tie a turban that she had used and on Christmas night, during a family party, all of my lovely nieces and nephews and their partners took the scarves, started tying them in different ways and taking photographs.  We had so much fun I thought it would be a fun idea to challenge others to do the same and donate to the 2 special charities, who are not only looking after me but provide fantastic care for other cancer patients, Breast Care Centre Llandough and Velindre Victory over Cancer.
