Story
Hi ignore that the name says Joanne Hutt, it is me Hazel ( my first name is Joanne - the secret is out )
When I first found out that my beautiful friend Helen was at the end of life the shock and devastation was indescribably, anger took over why her ? It’s just not fair. How the hell will James and the girls cope, how will any of us cope ? But above all of that who was going to help Helen deal with this horrible fate and ensure that she is not scared and is prepared for what was to come ? I needn’t have worried though as FNHC had it all covered. It takes a special person to confront a life-limiting or terminal illness, your own or a loved ones, with courage and dignity. That's what they see every day at Florence Nightingale Hospice. It also takes special people to comfort those who are dying, to manage their pain, and to care for them in their last years, months and days. You will find these people at Florence Nightingale Hospice, taking care of patients, and also consoling and reassuring their families. They are honoured that over the years hundreds of people have taken on the physical and mental challenge of the Midnight Walk to raise money to enable the Florence Nightingale Hospice nurses, staff and volunteers to continue their work, at the Hospice and in patients' homes. Help us to make this final Midnight Walk the best one ever..
Let’s raise some serious cash in honour of Helen.Willment ( Tibbsy) so that her memory lives on xxx thank you love Hazel xxx
