Story
Over the years many rugby players have been put back together at West Suffolk Hospital, after injuries on the pitch. At a time when all NHS staff are working under such extreme pressure, we wanted to give back to those who how have given so much to us.
On the 2nd of May, 44 players from Thurston Rugby Club will be taking part in a relay across Suffolk. The route will cover 166 miles and take over 24hrs to complete. In compliance with the Covid 19 guidelines, the route has been designed to go from village locations where the players live, this will allow them to carry out the run as part of their daily fitness quota without having to travel to get there. After each player has run their leg of the route, 2 metres social distancing will be maintained at the handover with a video being taken of the meeting.
