Thurston Rugby Club LEJOG 2021

Thurston Rugby Club LEJOG 2021 · 5 July 2021
On 5th July a group of us from Thurston Rugby Club will be cycling from Lands End to John O’Groats
Because last year our friends, family and supporters were very generous - in helping us raise £19k to fund respite areas for local NHS staff at West Suffolk Hospital - this year our goal is to raise awareness rather than money.
LooseHeadz is a charity who aim to inspire a global movement and advance the dialogue around mental health specifically but not exclusively in the rugby community.
We feel we can do more by raising awareness and #TackleTheStigma around mental health than raising funds via sponsorship.
Every day during the ride we will be making a conscious effort to talk openly about mental health and how it affects us all.
Rather than a donation we’d prefer you have a conversation about mental health. Maybe PAUSE to consider which old rugby team mate has had a tough time recently, then get in TOUCH with them to ENGAGE in a conversation - (some say you don’t have to CROUCH while doing it but you can).
LooseHeadz is a fantastic cause supported by lots of many current and veteran international rugby players. If you feel you still wish to make a donation then you can go to our just giving page or purchase some LooseHeadz merchandise and help continue the conversation.
