Story
The +24 team are excited to be taking on the National 3 Peaks Challenge in aid of Pendleside Hospice.
The Challenge involves climbing the three highest peaks of Scotland (Ben Nevis), England (Scafell Pike) and Wales (Snowdon), within 24 hours.
We'll walk a total distance of 23 miles (37km), climb 3064 metres (10,052ft), and probably burn around 5,000 calories! We also have 462 miles to cover in a minibus so fingers crossed the roads are clear 🤞
We're taking on this challenge to raise vital funds for Pendleside Hospice. The Hospice currently costs over £4 million per year to run. A grant from the NHS Clinical Commissioning Group provides approximately 22% of running costs but the balance, over £3 million, is raised locally.
All of your donations will be hugely appreciated and will help to enhance the quality of life for people with life-limiting illnesses, their families and carers. Your support will also give us that extra motivation we're likely to need when we start climbing Snowdon at 1:30am on the Sunday morning!
Thanks again and wish us luck 😊
