Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my page. On 9 July 2022, 12 of my friends and I will be climbing the three highest mountains in the UK, within 24 hours, in order to raise money for Mind. Mind is a mental health charity who aim to make sure that no one has to face a mental health problem alone.
We are raising money for Mind as, at the end of April 2020, my older brother Rob sadly took his own life. He was just 34 years old.
I will remember Rob as a generous and loving brother who always did his best to ensure those around him were having fun. He had a huge impact on me, and helped me build the confidence and belief that I needed growing up.
It was his fun-loving and happy-go-lucky nature that made it even more surprising to lose him to suicide and learn of the mental health struggles he was silently suffering.
We are keen to ensure that other young men or women do not find themselves in similar situation to Rob and I want to do all I can to help prevent others experiencing the loss of a family member to suicide .
We hope that you can help honour Rob’s memory by making a donation to MIND, which will help fund the provision of support to those individuals suffering with mental health issues. Specifically, your donations can help Mind in the following ways:
- £8 can help Mind answer an enquiry on their Infoline.
- £100 can help Mind run a 1:1 guided self-help session for young people experiencing mental health problems.
- £3,000 can help Mind enable 683 people to have access to their online peer support platform.
- £10,000 can help Mind answer around 1,254 helpline enquiries.
