The Rickshaw Run · 1 January 2018

We’re Cool Earth. We exist to champion the relationship between people, rainforest and climate. And the best way to do that? Back, support and listen to the people living there and take climate action with Cool Earth.

Story

Jeremy Kidd, Jamie Lebrun and I are taking part in a wild adventure in January 2018.

We are Three Kiwis One Rickshaw, and are attempting a mad endeavor which will (hopefully) see us complete 3000km down the length of India in a tiny, unreliable, three-wheeled Rickshaw.

Boasting 7bhp, a top speed of 50kph (downhill) and the stability of a drunk horse walking a tightrope, the Rickshaw is perhaps the least desirable vehicle to cross a sub-continent in. We will encounter breakdowns, axle-breaking potholes, road-rule anarchy, and immovable cows in this two week adventure. There is a good chance we will not make the finish line and, since there is no set route, who knows where that will leave us...

What ever the case a mad journey awaits us, the agony and suffering culminating in a  treasured (or painful!!) memory.  We ask that you support our questionable decision with a donation to Cool Earth.  Please help support the great work this charity does in an essential, but often overlooked, feature of our planet.

We will have a blog running in the time before and during the rally, and we look forward to having you on this adventure with us.

Best regards,

Three Kiwis
