Story

Thanks for supporting us!

On Saturday 8th September Dan Williams and Harry Powell are setting out on their bikes in an attempt to cycle 300 miles in 3 days in an attempt to raise at least £600 for Thembalitsha.

We will be leaving Thame in Oxfordshire with a group of 10 riders who are attempting to cycle to the 100 miles to Brighton in 1 day. We will stay the night in Brighton with them before embarking on our extra challenge of cycling across to the New Forest on the Sunday, and a final leg home to Aylesbury on the Monday to complete 300 miles in 3 days.

Thembalitsha a charity based in South Africa who care for babies, children and adults infected or affected by HIV/AIDS. It provides this through healthcare, education and training in the townships of the Western Cape.

Dan has personal involvement with this charity. Close family friends moved to South Africa in 2007 to set up a project in the township of Grabouw and he has been out to volunteer several times, seeing the incredible life saving work they are doing with babies affected by HIV/AIDS. To see more of the day-to-day highs and heartbreaks that they experience please visit:  http://thembavillageofhope.blogspot.co.uk/

Harry and I will of course be covering all our costs and so every penny you donate will  go to the charity. I’m sure this will be a grueling 3 days but will be made easy knowing that we will be making a genuine difference to the lives of young people growing up in appalling hardship and suffering. Please dig deep !

Thanks, Dan and Harry x
