Story
We are a group of 20 students currently undertaking the PCDA. Setting ourselves a challenge of 200km in 20hours to be completed on the 20th February 2021.
We will all be aiming to achieve personal goals in this challenge however all working as a collective team to ensure we smash the 200km target set by ourselves.
Ranging from walking, running and even completing half marathons to make sure we all play our role in raising funds for the Merseyside Police & High Sheriff's Fund within the 20 hours.
The Office of High Sheriff is an independent non-political Royal appointment for a single year. Today, there are 55 High Sheriffs serving the counties of England and Wales each year.It is an apolitical role, undertaken on a voluntary basis, at no cost to the public purse and so is well suited to lending support and encouragement to charities, community groups and voluntary services.
Every donation is distributed across local communities and initiatives within Merseyside and is vital in crime prevention and keeping our communities safe. It has helped keep young people safe and divert them away from trouble for many years.
Please visit www.merseysidehighsheriffsfund.co.uk for more information on the vital role they play in our community safety.
