Story
In 2013 one of our students was diagnosed with a cancerous tumour. With the support of the RVI in Newcastle and cutting edge cancer treatment she was given 5 months of intensive chemotherapy. Throughout that time she remained positive and keen to attend dance lessons to see her friends as much as possible. She even performed in troupes at competitions, determined not to let her illness hold her back.
Now in remission and living life to the full we have all realised how paramount her treatment was in saving her life. We are very lucky and very, very grateful!
The Future Fund is a collaborative project between Newcastle University, NECCR and the Great North Children's Hospital. It aims to raise £5.5 million for a new state of the art research facility that will help to detect cancer earlier in children.
Every penny raised from our Cabaret Evening will go towards this worthy cause and allow us to move a step forward in finding the cure for cancer. We have all been touched by lives lost and also saved, and really want to do our bit to give something back and hopefully save many more lives.
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page we appreciate any help you can give.
