Trek26 Cotswold Way - 26 miles · 16 July 2022 ·

Trek for loved ones, and raise money to support people devastated by dementia. Explore the rural landscape of the Cotswolds as you trek through ancient woodlands, wildflower meadows and historic Cotswold stone villages

Story

I'm going to be trekking 26 miles across the Cotswolds with Charlotte to raise money for the Alzheimer's Society. My Father-In-Law John was diagnosed with Lewy Body Dementia in 2016 and in 2020 sadly passed away. John was an amazing person who put a smile on the face of everyone he met, we miss him so much and know he'll be looking down encouraging us on our way.

This trek will be in his memory and we hope that by participating the money we raise will help those in the same situation as John was.

Trek for loved ones, and raise money to support people devastated by dementia. Explore the rural landscape of the Cotswolds as you trek through ancient woodlands, wildflower meadows and historic Cotswold stone villages.

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.
