Swim a K a day in May · 19 March 2022

Community Hospice provides free end of life care to anyone living with a terminal illness in Greenwich and Bexley, supporting around 3,000 people each year. Our goal is to help everyone we care for to approach death in the way that suits their values, beliefs and lifestyle.

Story

It's now 10 years since the wonderful Annie Thornley died.

I lost my partner and my children lost their Mum.

It's not been an easy road, and counselling I received at Greenwich and Bexley Hospice has been a massive help in getting us through.

I'm aiming to swim a kilometre every day in May to raise money for the hospice.

That's 40 lengths of a regular 25-metre swimming pool. Every day. 1,240 lengths over the course of the month (and yes, I am wishing I'd gone for February, but it didn't rhyme).

Please sponsor me if you can. Anything you feel able to give would be fantastic to support this amazing organisation.

Thank you
