Story

Hi. I'm Tommy and I play Rugby for Haverhill Youth Rugby Team. We're all getting together on July 6th to do the Relay for Life in order to raise funds for Cancer Research, something that is very important to several members of the team. We would be very grateful if you could sponsor me for this event. Any amount, however small (or large!) would be amazing.

In addition to this, I'm planning to get my lovingly grown mullet shaved off at our Rugby Team presentation on Saturday 15th June. Hopefully we'll get this filmed and added to this page. There'll be a bucket collection ahead of this and all the money taken will be added to this Just Giving fundraiser.

Relay For Life celebrates the power of community fundraising to make breakthroughs happen. Across the UK and the globe, teams of friends and family fundraise for world-leading cancer research. Then, we unite as a collective at a weekend-long festival to honour everyone affected by cancer and celebrate the progress we’re making. Together, we remember loved ones and celebrate the tomorrow’s made possible. Together we are beating cancer.

How does the money you raise make a difference?

When you fundraise for Relay For Life, we fund long-term research. And when we fund long-term research, we make more discoveries. Over time, these discoveries make giant strides towards a world where everyone lives longer, better lives free from the fear of cancer.
