Cancer is something that has had an impact on my family for many years. I never got to meet my Grandad as cancer sadly took him from our family before I was born. Since Covid a couple members of my family have been diagnosed with cancer. As anybody who's been impacted by cancer knows, being diagnosed is a very upsetting and traumatic experience especially for the person who is diagnosed but also for the close family and friends of that person as well. There's a feeling of knowing there's nothing you can do except being as supportive as you possibly can be for them.

Throughout March, myself and the Marslands team will be walking 10,000 steps a day to raise money for Cancer Research UK. This is a cause close to mine and the Marslands team's hearts and we all have our different reasons for supporting this great cause. The money raised will help fund vital research to make sure that together we will beat cancer.
