I'm hoping to build on the great work of Chrissy and Gareth in setting the page up...

i am running the Beachy Head Marathon in honour of my Dad, who died almost two years ago. He died too young, and neither me or my wife were able to see him in his last few months. I am running because  life can be hard but should be enjoyed; to be in the company of many wonderful family and friends; and to harness the memory of my Dad to propel me through the course.

No obligations to give anything - charity is utterly personal and I do not want anyone to feel obliged to give. if you do want to give, you'll be contributing much needed support for a much neglected illness.
