Story
2021 started so brightly, my wife and I were expecting our second child and we were so excited for the arrival of our little one later that year. However, at the 5-month scan, our worlds were turned upside down when it wasn't the news we were hoping for. Our Baby Noa’s heart had stopped beating.
After giving birth we had a few hours with baby Noa, precious moments we will savour forever. As difficult as this past year has been, Noa continues to have a positive impact on our lives, and we're thankful for the time we got to spend with her.
To date, my wife has been pregnant 6 times and we have one healthy little one. Although it's been a tough road, I'll be forever grateful I have the opportunity to be a parent, it's something I'll never take for granted.
In September I'll be running the Great Bristol Half Marathon for the Saying Goodbye Charity. Saying Goodbye provides support, advice and information to anyone who has suffered the loss of a baby, at any stage of pregnancy, at birth, or during infancy.
I'll be honest, right now the prospect of running 21km is a daunting one, I think it's fair to say I'm not a natural-born runner :) But I hope with the support of friends, family and my followers over at The Dad Vibes I can power through and do our baby Noa proud xx
