Story
Eliud Kipchoge had a laser car and a team of elite pace makers. I plan on having a bag of Sour Patch Kids during the race and hopefully some Twiglets at the finish line.
This Sunday I am running the New York marathon.
About time. Here ends 18 months of knee injuries, foot injuries, IT band injuries, and worst of all, boring everyone by whining about these.
If you would like to sponsor me, I am raising money for Direct Relief.
Direct Relief is a humanitarian aid organisation that does inspiring work helping the world's most vulnerable people, for instance refugees, and victims of natural disasters. It is widely recognised for its efficiency and effectiveness.
This is a great opportunity to donate because my employer will match whatever you choose to donate.
Health has intrinsic value, but it is also essential for people to learn, work, and live productive lives. Sick people who don’t receive care can’t work; they get poor or stay poor, and people who are poor are at higher risk of getting sick. Breaking this vicious cycle is an enormously complex endeavor, but better access to health services is essential. Direct Relief works to equip health professionals in resource-poor communities to meet the challenges of diagnosing and caring for people without regard to politics, religion, or ability to pay.
