Story
On Sunday 13th September, I will be swimming the entire 11 mile length of Lake Windermere in the 'Windermere One Way' #WOW challenge www.windermereoneway.co.uk/the-event
I started training 7 months ago with restrictions of lockdown adding to the challenge of trying to find water to train in! I have trained in rivers and lakes all over the UK, and in the sea more recently.
In the past, I have completed both a solo (11 hours) and relay (14 hours) swim of the English Channel, although Windermere has its own unique challenges.
Your generous donations will be really appreciated by my chosen charities - MS Society and Tritax Symmetry's charity of the year SUDEP Action. Charities have suffered a reduction in funding this year, so any donation no matter how large or small helps. Your donations change lives and make the many hours I have put into training worthwhile! Thank you.

Tritax Symmetry are proud to announce we have nominated SUDEP Action as our 'Charity of Year 2020'.
Tragically 21 people with epilepsy die each week in the UK and roughly 600 people with epilepsy will die suddenly with no obvious cause. This is called Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy (SUDEP).
SUDEP Action is dedicated to raising awareness of epilepsy risks and tackling epilepsy deaths including SUDEP. They are the only UK charity specialised in supporting and involving people bereaved by epilepsy.
SUDEP Action provides families with crucial services including bereavement support, counselling and help with understanding the inquest process. In collaboration with UK research teams, this contact with the families also enables SUDEP Action to update the Epilepsy Deaths Register and support professionals in furthering their research into the condition.
