Story
I'm taking part in Santas on the Run, Santas on the Bay 5K run on November 27th to raise money for the Pilgrims Hospice. The work of the Pilgrims Hospice hold a very special place in mine and my families heart because of the care they provided to allow for my Nan to have a dignified end to her life at her home following her brave battle with Cancer. I am also raising money in honour of my Girlfriend’s Dad who was cared for during his end of life care at the Canterbury Hospice during 2013. Both of which where treated with complete dignity and compassion the entire way through their journeys & providing fantastic support to loved ones in the periods after also.
The money raised will help go towards allowing the Hospice to provide care to not just those going through end of life care but also support to the families of those loved ones also, whether that be care given at home or within one of their hospices.
Giving what you can allows the Pilgrims Hospice to continue the amazing work they do every day to ensure families and their loved ones are supported the entire way through the journey of end of life care .
