I'm Thomas Finn, or just Tom and this is my first year of studying at Bath. Over the next few months I hope to raise at least £2990 for The Children's Society and do a sponsored walk up Mount Kilimanjaro next summer. The Children's Society does invaluable work in helping disadvantaged young people. Giving runaways a safe place to sleep, helping young carers as young as five who have to look after ill family members and providing the basics to children below the poverty line are just a few of the things the children society do.

Even one time donations can make a huge difference:

£10 - Help train a volunteer to support the 65,000 children in care in the UK.

£25 - A hot meal, shower and living essentials for a runaway.

£50 - Provides a mobile phone for project workers so are contactable at all times from children in emergency.

£75 - Help ongoing support to a child as they take steps to change their life.

£100 - A family could have mediation sessions to resolve conflict at home.

Of course a donation of any size will directly help children in the most dire of situations. Throughout the year I will be doing a variety of different things to fundraise, all updates will be done here.
