Chappers and Blakey do the Hackney Half

Hackney Half Marathon 2019 · 19 May 2019 ·
On Sunday 19th May, my buddy Jo and I will be running the Hackney Half Marathon to raise money for Melanoma Focus, the UK's leading research / information charity for melanoma (serious form of skin cancer).
In October last year, we were hit with the harrowing news that our brilliant friend Oli Prestney had tragically lost his battle with skin cancer, and raising a few quid towards this amazing charity will, we hope, go a little way to help the charity continue their dedicated work.
Oli would no doubt have smashed a half marathon on the day, without training, with those long power-house legs of his! Hopefully we will do him proud. As most of you will agree, for long distance running I am genetically hindered with very short / heavy legs, and Jo's are not much longer (no offence, mate), so even a halfie is no mean feat, I tell you!
In memory of the big man we are aiming to raise £1,000 between us - please help us get there, and thanking you all in advance for supporting us through what will be a physical and emotional roller-coaster, but equally special occasion!
