Story
I suffered a type B Aortic Dissection back in December 2017. This condition is often misdiagnosed in A&E with patients paying the ultimate price with their life. Myself and Chris completed the Thames Path Challenge on 9th Sept 18 all 22Km of it and Chris will be running the London Marathon in April 2019, all in aid of the fabulous charity Heart Research UK. My wonderful friend Mel has joined in the fun to run the Reading Half matathon in March too! This charity is extremely supportive of Aortic Dissection Awareness, funding the ThinkAorta.org (google it) campaign and ring fencing funds specifically for Aortic Dissection Masterclasses, these Masterclasses educate and raise awareness of the diagnosis of AD to medical professionals. Please help us in our quest to raise as much as we can. If you fancy joining Team Aorta on the walk, please do let me know. Lots of love, Clare and Chris xx
