Story

Update 20/09/10: COMPLETED!

Thank you very much for sponsoring me on the Agatha Christie 1 mile swim in yesterday – you helped me raise £175 for Devon Air Ambulance, that is, £350 including Landmark’s contribution.

I really felt in my element this time and came third in my heat. Apparently I could have come first in this group if I hadn’t taken a detour through international waters but, alas, swimming without prescription lenses is not without hazards.

Thanks again – I’m really hooked on open water swimming now and will keep at it!

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. Devon Air Ambulance is a charity entirely funded by donations. They fly hundreds of missions every year, saving many lives. But it costs £4 million per year to keep the helicopters in the air.

By sponsoring me on this One Mile Sea Swim, which is being held in Torbay (Agatha Christie's birth place), you will help support Devon Air Ambulance. As usual my employer, Landmark Information Group, will kindly match any donations - effectively doubling your money!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Thank you for your support.
