Story
In July of this year, my step-dad Tim was officially diagnosed with lung cancer.
He has taken this diagnosis with courage and he remains (as ever) strong and determined (with a pinch of dark humour).
Tim is one of the most amazing men I have ever met, and I am so glad he is a part of mine and my children's lives.
He has just commenced his treatment and we know the next few months are going to be challenging, not only physically but emotionally and I thought what could I do to challenge myself mentally and physically to show my support to not just Tim but all those going through treatment.
So, in May 2025, I have challenged myself to take on the Norfolk Coast Mighty Hike to help raise money for people living with cancer.
I could not do this by myself, so my bestest friends have agreed to take on this challenge with me. Tim is not only my step-dad but he is like a step-dad to my gal pals and I am so glad they agreed to do this with me.
If you’re able to contribute, your donation would be greatly appreciated. I understand budgets are tight but even £1 would help towards our goal and to support Macmillan in the incredible work they do to help people (and their families) navigate a cancer diagnosis.
There are currently 3 million people living with cancer in the UK today. It's Macmillan's goal to be there for everyone from the moment of diagnosis, but they can't do this without donations from people like you.
Thank you!
