Story
We are a group of fun like minded woman who having 10 children between us wanted to push ourselves whilst raising money for a charity. We feel very fortunate not to have needed their services but know that the vital research they do is something we strongly support. Action Medical Research are the leading UK charity funding vital research to help defeat the diseases that devastate the lives of sick and disabled babies, children and young people. Action have been funding medical breakthroughs for 70 years now and have helped to beat polio, fight meningitis, prevent stillbirths and develop ultrasound scanning in pregnancy. By supporting us, you are helping to find ways to reduce premature birth, to support children facing a lifetime of challenges caused by disabilities, and to develop cutting-edge therapies for rare and incurable diseases. We are taking part in this extremely tough dawn to dusk event where they will cycle 40 miles, navigate a 2-mile course on Coniston Water, and finally summit one of the Lake District's most iconic peaks on a 11 mile round trip to raise money for this incredible cause.
