Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Paul Donnelly was a veterinary friend and colleague from Liverpool University. He lived life to the full and tragically departed this world well before his time. Paul was a generous, kind hearted, loveable guy and lived near the Mourne Mountains which he loved to roam and ride around.
Paul was the first of several of my veterinary friends to pass away in their youth, leaving a trail of devastated hearts and minds. The second was Megan Brannigan, a beautiful soul, also from Northern Ireland, beset with extreme job related stresses and strains that resulted in her taking her own life.
Vetlife is a vital resource for veterinarians struggling with mental health issues, and has been an invaluable lifeline to help me personally deal with the premature suicides of several of my friends, along with supporting the literally thousands of the UK veterinary fraternity.
Myself and a friend from Liverpool University are running the off road Mourne Half Marathon, through the spectacular Irish countryside. Our trip is entirely self funded. You can either give a lump sum or pay per mile completed - in this case 13 miles by each of us.
Please donate to this very worthy charity.
