Challenge 1: walk 1500 miles in under 100 days - completed in 82 days! ✅
Challenge 2: walk 24 hours non-stop, from Shepperton to Brighton! ✅
Challenge 3: walk the entirety of the Thames in under a week - that’s 7 marathons in 7 days. 10th-16th January. Watch this space!
As everyone is aware, 2020/2021 haven’t been the yeas we expected. We can blame this in part to Covid and the effect it's had on people's mental health and well being. Some have lost their jobs and in some cases the elderly have been left alone for far too long. Depression is on the rise across all age sectors along with anxiety and loneliness.
I've seen this first hand through my previous life in the Horse Racing Industry and have lost close friends to battles with mental health. I myself have also suffered with some extremely dangerous demons over the years, of which I have managed to get the correct help for. Some of us haven’t been that fortunate.
For this reason I want to give something back and through my new found passion which happens to be walking (due to some nasty past injuries, running for any length of time has become quite a struggle) I've decided to put this to good use and raise money for a charity close to my heart called "Mind", the Mental Health Charity.
Having completed two incredibly difficult walking challenges to date so far, I am aiming to finish on a high by walking the entirety of the Thames during the second week of January. This will be even more hard due to adverse weather conditions during that month. All of my progress will be logged throughout Facebook, but if anyone is able to spread the news further afield than just locally that would be amazing.
I have so far raised over £6000 and am aiming to raise a little more over the Christmas period.

Extremely sad news to hear the passing of Sir Tom Moore who was a massive inspiration for me to take on this monumental ordeal.
R.I.P you Hero ❤️
