Story
Christmas time is for giving. This Christmas my daughters Olivia (age 7), Ania (11) & Sofia (13) are donating their long locks to Little Princes Trust while fundraising for Momentum, our local children's charity which supports families across Surrey and SW London, whose children have cancer or a life-limiting condition.
Our close family members and friends are affected by cancer. It is hard enough watching people you love fighting battle for their life. Being told your child has cancer or another life-challenging condition is devastating and day-to-day life is turned upside down. Momentum supports the entire family during times of unimaginable strain – the children and their parents, but also siblings and grandparents. They are here to make sure that no family has to cope alone.
Every little girl wants to have beautiful long hair. I was very touched when all three of my girls decided to have their long, beautiful hair cut for charity. We heard of Momentum through Olivia's school and hope to be able to support them in their work this Christmas.
A MASSIVE THANK YOU to the wonderful ladies at The Little Foray Hair&Beauty in Thames Ditton who will be cutting girls' hair for free. Do drop them a line on Facebook to say how great they are! https://www.facebook.com/littleforaythamesditton
The girls will be donating their hair to The Little Princess Trust, which provides real hair wigs free of charge to children and young people up to the age of 24 that have sadly lost their own hair due to cancer treatment and other illnesses.
