Story
We (David Lindley, Charles Eddlestone and Joe Parry) are all colleagues from Fine & Country estate agents. We are driving from Sheffield to Monte Carlo in a 25 year old Robin Reliant.
Aiming to stay upright is high on the priority list. We are praying that the 'trike' doesn't flip, die or explode half way up (or down) the Gotthard Pass. None of us are mechanics, we don't know the way and we don't really like each other. One of the biggest parts of the challenge will be surviving each others company under the scorching heat of the unventilated cabin space.
The aim of our wacky adventure is to raise money for Roundabout, a youth homeless charity in Sheffield. Roundabout is a member of the End Youth Homelessness (EYH) campaign which is partnered with The Fine & Country Foundation. EYH is compiled of 11 youth homeless charities from across the UK to pool ideas and resources to support 16-25 year olds.
DONATIONS OF ALL SIZES ARE WELCOME!!
***SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES HAVE NOW CLOSED***
The bonnet of the car has been painted by professional artist,
Stephanie Wardle from Sheffield. The remaining bodywork of the Robin Reliant will become an ‘eye-catching’ patchwork of logos and images which will be heavily publicised when we (inevitably) break down and reach the finish line in Monte Carlo.
When we return to the UK, the bonnets will go to auction, to raise more money for the cause.
Every day, Roundabout proves shelter and support to more than 150
young people who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. Your donations will provide a safe place for young people to receive support and life skills to break the cycle of homelessness. All donations make a huge difference: from £5 to buy bedding, to £5,000 to fund a flat to house a young person for a whole year.
Together, we can make a huge difference for those who need it most. Please donate.
