Story
Yep, we did it. Despite the horrendous storms which meant we had to take refuge for a couple of hours we got into Paris at about 1pm on Saturday. That's about 250 miles in two and a half days.
Thanks to all those who sponsored us and if you would still like to that would be great!
Cycling from London to Paris unsupported in 3 days.
25 June: Approximately 100 miles to Folkestone, ferry across to Calais and then another 10 miles to (grotty) hotel
26 June: A further 100 miles into France before we find another (grotty) hotel
27 June: 70 miles to the Arc de Triomphe before a well earned beer (or two) on the Champs-Elysées and hopefully a nicer hotel (it had better be, the wives are meeting us there!)
This is not an organised ride. Its just us working out our own route and carrying everything we're going to need for 3 tough days in the saddle. Our training has meant spending a lot of time on the bikes including a 100 mile ride around (or rather up and down) the Chilterns.
It would be so much easier if we knew that by doing this ride some of your hard earned cash would be going to a very good cause. Macmillan Cancer Support do a great job supporting not only those suffering with cancer but also their families and carers.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Macmillan Cancer Support gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor us now!
