Story
We are undertaking the Woodside Depot Trek Challenge 2021, which will see us complete 580 miles (the amount of miles it takes for you to walk from each of the Woodside Depos in NI, Ireland and England). This year is very unlike those before, with the current Covid-19 Pandemic and now the further lockdown restrictions, we have found that we are less motivated in our daily lives, which has an impact on our mental health. Therefore we decided why not take 2021 by the horns, and get out in the fresh air and raise some money for this great charity.
Your donations will ensure the HEMS medical service team can continue to save many lives, brains and limbs all over Northern Ireland. The charity Air Ambulance Northern Ireland, in partnership with the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service, provides the Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS) for the province. It is operational 365 days of the year, 7am-7pm and can get to any point in Northern Ireland within twenty-five minutes. With an annual operational cost of £2 million, public donations are crucial. Since it's inception in July 2017, the HEMS team have responded to over 1,881 incidents.
