Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
St Andrews Church Youth Choir in Ipplepen has been finding ways to make music together in spite of the lockdown. Writing lyrics, singing and playing all in our own homes, we have created our own song which joint choirmaster, Dr Tom Morris, a retired doctor now back working at Torbay Hospital, has arranged, combining our individual recordings into 'Rainbow of Hope'. You can hear the song and see us recording as well as some of the sights that have inspired us on the video via this Youtube link: https://youtu.be/UGgBNFXJbvk as well as above. Notes on how and why the song was written are in the posts below.
Inspired by the example of people like Colonel Tom Moore, we would like our song to help others so we hope to share it on local TV and radio as well as with our friends, families and schools. We have also set up this Justgiving page to raise funds for Rowcroft, the local hospice here in South Devon. Rowcroft has helped so many families over the years and now it faces the loss of most of its annual fund-raising income as well as the income from its shops. Their care is needed now just as much as before the lockdown and we want to help them keep caring for our communities. If you have enjoyed our song and are able to make a donation, please help us to reach our target of £1,000. Please also share a link to this fundraising page with your friends and family too.
