Story
My friends, family, associates & colleagues past and present!!
Since I started my career in Radiography 10 years ago, I've known about the amazing work LOROS do within Leicestershire and Rutland. They provide palliative and nursing care for thousands of terminally ill people every year. They do a huge amount of work to support Leicester hospitals, during my time at Glenfield, I met many patients and their families - all of whom were incredibly grateful for the care LOROS provides for them.
So this year, Chris and I will be running the Birmingham half marathon for LOROS. For anyone who knows Chris, they will be aware of what an incredible achievement this will be, it will be the longest distance he has ever run and he has put in so many hours of training this year.
For my 30th(!!) birthday year, I was given a place in the London Marathon, Ive always wanted to run the marathon and I'm absolutely honored to have been given a place by LOROS. I then had to defer this place due to the arrival of our littlest one, but 9 months after he is born, I’ll be doing London 2019!
Im determined to do them proud by raising as much money as I can. This will be my first marathon, and if I can raise enough, I may consider doing it in costume... suggestions anyone?!
Even if you don't donate, please consider visiting their website to read about the amazing work they do - http://www.loros.co.uk/about/
