Story
The SHIPS Project is a small charity in the South West of England which supports youngsters who have an Acquired Brain Injury and their families through the school system by offering support and training to their teachers, TAs and SENCOs. We hold training days, parent groups and an annual conference, help with statutory assessment and run our intervention programmes called 'Lifeboats'. These may teach a youngster to read, help them learn number and maths or help with the transition to KS3.
This provision is neither available within the NHS or the education system, and it is left to charities to help. Could you help us to help this group of young people fulfill their potential?
