The Rory Burke Memorial Cup

Welcome to the Just Giving page of Rory Burke Memorial Cup.
Rory Burke was a son, brother, partner, grandson, cousin, and friend to many. After 6 months of treatment with a rare form of leukaemia, Rory passed away on the 22nd November 2020 following complications from a failed stem cell transplant. Throughout those 6 months, Rory continued to raise awareness for Anthony Nolan and Blood Cancer UK. He was courageous and inspiring. Let’s continue his hard work.
So many people have already done amazing things to help raise money and awareness for blood cancer charities and stem cell research. More importantly they have celebrated the life, and began building the legacy, of Rory Burke. We hope to add to his story and bring you on the journey.
Rory was a keen sportsman, and as such we wanted to raise awareness in a way he would've appreciated - a football match. Help us to raise this awareness and much needed cash for charities close to him.
On Saturday 13th September 2025 at Paddington Recreation Centre a uniquely talented (not necessarily football gifted) collaboration of Rory’s friends and family will join forces again in the 4th instalment of the Rory Burke Memorial Cup. FC Burkealona will be looking to make it 4-0 overall following last years victory over Burkussia Monchenburkebach.

Donations via this page or cash on the day.
Every day, Anthony Nolan saves the lives of people with a blood cancer or blood disorder. We do this by matching incredible individuals willing to donate their stem cells to people who desperately need a lifesaving transplant. We also carry out cutting edge scientific research, fund specialist post-transplant nurses and support patients and their families through the transplant process and beyond. We won’t stop until we save the lives of everyone who needs a stem cell transplant. Every penny you donate brings us closer to that day.
