Story
Sadly Sylvia passed away on the 5th May 2011, the night I left Yorkshire heading to Heathrow Airport, London, ready for the Alzheimer's trek in China. It was extremely difficult but I knew mum would want me to continue with the trek. I feel so strong about this charity and raising awareness about Alzheimers Disease. I will be placing new photos showing parts of the trek. I was by no means fit enough ( obviously didn't do enough training )
I managed to complete the trek through sheer determination and the support from a fantastic group of people, all participating in the trek for their own personal reasons.
A very emotional week, and very rewarding. I dearly loved my mum and always will and I know there was always, no matter how servere mum's illness became, she had a spark in her eyes that confirmed she recognised me.
A big thank you to all who sponsored me and thank you to anyone out there who will help me complete my target. I still need a little more to reach 100%.
Thank You
