Mohammed Shuheb Miah is raising money for Rahma (Mercy)

Rahma Institute · 15 April 2021

Rahma (Mercy) was founded in the year 1999 in response to the plight of the refugees. We have since grown to becoming a UK registered Charity that is supporting thousands of people throughout the Balkans. We support over 1000 Orphans, provide food aid, education, medical & much more.

Story

Rahma (Mercy) was founded in the year 1999 in response to the plight of the refugees whom were fleeing from the war in Kosovo. We are currently providing aid and support to 5 different countries in the Balkans; Albania, Kosovo, Macedonia, Serbia and Bosnia.

We aim to further our work in the educational sector and to provide a safe, forward looking and progressive environment for creating individuals who become assets for their communities.

Due to the overwhelming success of the Rahma Academy, a landmark project that was opened in 2013, we decided to expand further in order to facilitate the high demand for a multi functional educational complex.

The Rahma Institute will stand on 6,000 square metres of land that previously hosted a brewery during Albania’s communist past. The brewery supplied the whole of the Balkans with alcoholic beverages and exports went out as far as the former Soviet Union.
