Story

Incredibly both teams arrived at Keswick at the same time completing the race at 8:08 pm, it was very very tough. 16 hours 8 minutes from start to finish.

The Wacky Race Charity Challenge - a mountain hike versus a cycling slog. The race begins at 4:00am with two different start points located 150 miles apart, although finishing in the same town.

1. Paul Short walking from Wasdale Head completing the Lake District Top 5 peaks and then finishing at Moot Hall in Keswick. Approx. 37 miles and 3,700m of ascent and descent - anticipated completion time 18 hours.

2. On mountain bikes John Redman, Perry Hall and Rob Hall setting off from Roker beach in Sunderland and then cycling to Whitehaven, turning around and then cycling back to Moot Hall in Keswick. Approx. 180 miles - anticipated completion time 18 hours.

Both tasks are extremely tough, but nothing compared to what people suffer either directly or indirectly through Cancer. Hopefully together the money we raise can be used by Cancer Research to help find a cure to this awful disease. Your support is greatly appreciated.
