Thanks for taking the time to visit the 'Purple Pirates Return' JustGiving page.This is not the first time the Purple Pirates have taken to the Dragon Boat Challenge for the Hospice and this year we're back, stronger and more determined to win than ever! 

The race takes place over a 250m stretch of river starting at the Stratford-Upon-Avon Boat House. We'll race three times, and our best time will be set against everyone else's. The boat weighs a tonne (that's quite literal) and many of our team are new, so it'll be a challenge. 

Please consider sponsoring us; the hospice is not just about end of life care, we provide our patients and their families with support and compassion throughout their journeys, from diagnosis, through to treatment and survivorship. All of our services are free at the point of delivery but sadly, they're not free to provide. This year our service will cost £2.3 million, with a 7% contribution from the NHS, the lowest in England compared to the average 30% other hospices receive.
