Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In September, I'll be running along the Thames - starting in Putney and finishing 100k later in Henley - to raise money for Parkinson's UK.

Parkinson's runs in my family and affects some of my nearest and dearest, including my Dad and Grandad. It's a massive challenge for them to face and they didn't get a choice when they were diagnosed. So I gave myself no choice - 100k it was.

I'm aiming to complete the challenge in as close to 12 hours as possible and will be training non-stop to reach that goal - but it will take a lot of work and support to get close to that. It could be a pipe dream but only time will tell!

My 'official' fundraising target is £395 but I'm aiming much higher than that. (I can't bear the thought of only earning £3.95 per kilometre!!) I would love to raise a 4-figure sum and I hope you can help me do that.

So please donate generously - I'll be keeping a training blog, which I will be writing in my spare time between work and training, so you'll be able to keep up with progress.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.
