We did it!!! We started our ride at 07:00am after some amazing baked goodies made by Alex. The pace was good and the team was rolling on high spirits. London was left behind and we entered the Surrey Hills about one hour and half later. We have reached the Peaslake area when we suffered our first casualty of the day, some challenging gravity terrain made Alex go over the handlebars in one of hardest parts of the route. But like a trooper after a few moments to compose herself (see photo on justgiving site) she got back on the bike with just one brake working and carried on. Time for Lunch!!! Our second crashed to place on another fast pacing section, Taylan vs Tree, Taylan won!!! All smooth riding during the Sussex stage, until just before 10miles to go a nasty tyre puncture slowed us down. Tyre repaired and we made our way towards the sea front. We have reached the finish line, 10 hours have gone by this time and the pain in our rears reminds us of that!!! Of to the pub to celebrate…
