Meet Theo Till, our Matrics UK Chair. Starting on the 31st of March, Theo will solo cycle from Coast to Coast in England, covering over 130 miles (215km) in two days for RICS Matrics and his chosen charity LionHeart. LionHeart’s aim is quite simple: to be there for RICS professionals whenever life throws a curve ball, from the very beginning of their career right through to retirement.

For those of you who know Theo, you will know he is not much of a cyclist or indeed built for pedal power up hills! Departing from the coast of West Cumbria at Whitehaven and heading east, thus taking advantage of the prevailing wind (!), this challenging itinerary contains nearly 3,000m of ascent The picturesque route crosses the mountainous northern edge of the Lake District and then climbs into the dramatic landscapes of the northern Pennines until reaching the North Sea at Sunderland.
