Story
This February I'm taking part in the Basingstoke Big Sleep out where I will spend the night sleeping outdoors without a tent, with my Scout troup to raise funds for Julian House. I'm also running my own sponsored silence at school to make my school friends aware of the cause and to raise some additional funds to help people who are local to us and are less fortunate.
My silence at school will be tough as I like to chat with my friends and answer questions in class, but I'm also nervous about the sleep out as it can get so cold. My Scout Troup is preparing with special survival bags, lots of layers and warm drinks. I hope it doesn't rain or snow.
Every year, Julian House supported over 1,900 vulnerable and at risk individuals. With the help of our amazing supporters, we seek to build a just society where socially excluded people are supported and empowered to build sustainable, independent lives.
