You guys are amazing! Up and running for 3 days and 5% reached. £100 barrier broken!
Soldiers of the British Army have been involved in wars across the world, from the frontlines of WW2 to the Falkland Isles, from Kosovo to Afghanistan. They have worked tirelessly to protect our country and our way of life, they have given sweat and blood to bring peace and they have laid down their lives in your name.
Now they need you help.
The Soldiers Charity helps soldiers and their families when they are in need, whether they are serving or have served in the past, in whichever conflict and whatever capacity.
In 2009 whilst serving in Afghanistan I was shot through the knee by a Taliban sniper. From the moment I arrived at Camp Bastion Field Hospital I was confronted by the men and women who had been less fortunate than myself. During my rehabilitation at Headley Court I saw still more and these from just one conflict.
The Soldiers Charity helps soldiers from every conflict, from any time of service with the British Army and in any part of the world. They support the families who no longer have people to support them, they support those who have lost eveything.
I am running the London Marathon with my friend Chris and it will mark 3 years and 7 weeks to the day after getting shot through the left knee by a snipers bullet. It is proof of my recovery and yout donation will help make it all the more special and occaision.
Thank you.
