Hello Everyone,
Rev George Moody shall be pushed the Great North Run (13.1 Miles I'll have you know) on the 5th October 2008 by his wonderfully talented and fit family :-) all to raise money for Muscular Dystrophy!
Help Dystrophy Research change lives:
During 39/45 war, Our Grandad was diagnosed with muscular dystrophy and discharged from Army.
When our Grandad was about 30 years of age, this same diagnosis was reason the Church of England would not accept him for Ordination to Priesthood.
He was also told his life expectancy was 40/45 years.
But in 1968 the Research Team helped to change his life.
They had found out how to improve his health. His diagnosis was changed, - and
Ordination followed and he had a rewarding ministry amongst profoundly deaf people in and around the West Midlands, Staffordshire and Shropshire based at Lichfield Cathedral then an 'active' retirement at Marske-by-Sea
And now, at 81 y.o.a., our Grandad is doing something different. He's going to be pushed in the Great North Run.
So this 'greatnorthpush' is a way of expressing thanks for the work of the Research team.
We 'pushers' want to raise £3000. --- Your donation will help the Dystrophy Research Team to help change other people's lives.
We thank you.
