Baby Loss Awareness Month

Baby Loss Awareness · 8 October 2020
Going through the death of a baby can be a lonely time, but
it is not a rare event and it can happen to anyone.
In the UK, 1 in 4 pregnancies end in loss during pregnancy
or birth. Those weeks, and months you’ve spent starting to imagine your new life with your baby come crushing down around you. The things you have bought out of excitement are put back into storage, and you’re left with a memory of what could have been.
No-one should have to give their baby back, but people
do, every day.
I have teamed up with Sands (Stillbirth & neonatal death
charity) to help raise awareness of this tragic occurrence that touches so many people and hope to raise money to support their great work of supporting those affected, and research to understand the causes of baby deaths and save babies’ lives.
I’ve created a set of cards and prints (available to buy now
on Etsy or via Instagram @the_monochrome_stylist) and for every item sold 50% of the profits will go to Sands.
In addition, for the month of October (Baby loss awareness month) I have set up this just giving page where you can donate to help support this cause.
It’s really hard to know what to say or what to do when
someone close to you goes through losing their baby, sometimes just a card or a keepsake is all it takes to show them you are there.
If you would like to donate please head to www.justgiving.com/fundraising/themonochromestylist
and if you’d like to purchase cards/prints please head to my Etsy shop:
