Story

Welcome to the Michael Broderick Tribute Fund.

This is a tribute to our wonderful Dad. A gentleman in every sense.

He was born in Gort, County Galway on 10th August 1950. On 18th July 2021, he passed, leaving his loving and much-loved wife of 43 years, Bernadette, their children: Mairead, Aidan, Ciara, Sean, Eilise, and their partners. His six beautiful grandchildren brought him so much joy.

Mike will be remembered affectionately by his family “back home” in Ireland, his extended family in Manchester, his former colleagues, and his ‘Band of Brothers’ at Knaresborough Golf Club, plus countless other friends from along the way.

Many will know that as his brave battle with cancer reached the final stages, he spent some time in Saint Michael’s Hospice, and when he returned home, they continued to provide him and us with care, support, and comfort that was so incredible.

We as a family know that we can’t thank them enough but we hope you will help us to try.

It is our wish that donations should be made to this charity in lieu of funeral flowers.

Many thanks, The Brodericks
