We offer care, support and information to anyone affected by breast cancer

Story

At around this time last year, my younger sister, Georgia, was diagnosed with breast cancer. For the remainder of 2018 and throughout this year, she's undergone a torrid time as her world turned upside down. Aggressive chemo, drugs, countless appointments, operations....and the psychological side.

There's still a long way to go in terms of recovery, but thankfully things are looking a little more positive....

To show support, a few of us from the Kiln Brewery CC decided to attempt a challenge - which although would be nothing as bad as Georgia's ordeal, would be something that would push us possibly beyond our limits.  So....we are going to attempt the entire South Downs Way on a bike. Twice. In one go.

We'll be starting in Eastbourne on Friday lunchtime - aiming to cycle through the night, arrive in Winchester at sunrise, before turning around and cycling back to Eastbourne. Likely to take somewhere between 24-30 hours.

  • Off-Road
  • 200 miles / 322km
  • 8000m / 24,000 feet of vertical ascent

We're under no illusions that this will be anything other than brutal. And we're not even sure we'll make it - It's twice the distance any of us have cycled before... but if you would like to make a donation for the attempt, we'll certainly give it our best shot!

We'll definitely need all the support we can muster so If anyone would like to join us for a few miles or wave at us as we pass - you're more than welcome and we'd love the company!

Thanks so much!

Justin, Andy, Phil , Neil & Tim
