Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On Sunday 10th May Alex, Maisie, Mike and Amy are going to get up before the sun to complete a 3 mile sunrise walk to raise funds for the amazing Shooting Star Children's Hospices. We are doing this in memory of Jack Burgess, our cousin and nephew who was supported and sadly died at Shooting Star's Guildford hospice. The next few weeks will be tough for our family as it is coming up to Jack's birthday and anniversary of his death. Shooting Star only receive 10% of their funding from central government, and have had lots of fundraising activities cancelled and their high street shops have had to close due to coronavirus, leading to huge funding cuts. They have had to close one hospice during this time due to lack of funding and are only open for end of life care and emergency respite. Please donate what you can so they they can continue to support children and their families at really difficult times.
