Like many people, I have been increasingly horrified by the situation in Syria and the terrible decisions facing millions of normal Syrian families, forced to leave their homes and embark on horrendous journeys to stay alive.

I want to raise money for the International Rescue Committee, which is providing food, water and emergency transport to arriving families in Lesbos, Greece. 

Reading what the refugees are having to go through and the thought of having to ask my children to walk 40 miles a day in full sun without food or water is too awful to think about.

I want to show support and solidarity to the Syrian people. I will take photos of anyone who donates on the Just Giving page and create a montage of caring and supportive human faces. We will show the Human Face of Solidarity.
